My new M2 Macbook Air arrived yesterday!

I’ve pretty much settled in… I’ve gotten a lot of practice at setting up new working environments through the various computer adventures I’ve had over the past few months. Super comfy already, probably due to all the MacOS muscle memory over the past decade-and-a-half.

The Apple Silicon processor is a win in almost all ways. I can even set up a less-performant Intel VM via UTM if I want. (If and when Apple does allow for sideloading apps on the iPad, the iOS UTM app allows for running VMs on the iPad [!])

And it looks like I can set up a VM on my laptop, install Tailscale in the VM, and ssh directly to the VM without having to touch the NAT config. Bonus.

Looks like my 2014 Macbook Air 11" isn’t worth anything in trade-in, so I’m trying Elementary OS on it.
